clients?
Non-fiction authors,
academics/educators, and consultants are her target. Working with
non-native English speakers is of special interest. She also
offers business solutions to individuals and sole proprietors with
focused goals who want writing, editing and research assistance.
2.
What services does
Remarkable Solutions offer?
Comprehensive editing, writing and
research services are offered to authors, educators and consultants
who seek personalized, confidential assistance with their publishing
and research needs. Also offered are an array of solutions for
individuals or sole proprietors who may lack the expertise or time
for business publication or information projects.
3.
What results can I
expect for my writing project?
While each client wants different
personalized services, the expected results may vary. In
general, for a book edit, you can first expect a thorough evaluation
of what is necessary to publish it. Then, you will receive
specific suggestions on the content, organization and format of your
book. This includes condensing or expanding content,
reorganizing information and, of course, the usual proofing and
correction culminating with the preparation of the manuscript for
publication. All services are agreed upon prior to the start
of any work.
4.
What is the approach
Bea uses for an editing and writing project?
Bea has developed her own system
for review of the written content called DocInoc, short for Document
Inoculation. DocInoc is like an injection one gets for a
virus; it enhances the health of the project while protecting the
players. Through DocInoc, unique strategies and ideas are
designed and delivered to authors for improved reader experience.
DocInoc has three levels of review
based on the length and type of material and is for the individual
who only wants a review of their material and no other services, OR
someone who wants to work through the entire editing and writing
process with Bea.
5.
What other kinds of
solutions are offered to the consultant or sole proprietor?
Bea brims with ideas on how to
solve business problems in the most expedient, cost effective ways.
Usually, this means solutions using her editing, writing and
research skills.
For example, an exporter expanding
internationally didn’t know specifics about the measurements and
types of goods required in a specific country or the financial
security of the businesses involved. I suggested researching
that market for the key information and to search credit records of
the businesses in question. This proved a viable solution
gaining the necessary market information to perform to spec and
ensured the exporter’s assets were not lost. It was a
cost-effective and quick solution for the exporter.

What relevant
experience does Bea have?

working with public and private institutions designing both long-
and short-term projects and programs which required exceptional

7.
Why does Bea have a
specialty in working with non-native English speakers?
She has taught English as a Second
Language to a diverse group of language learners in America and has
lived in Turkey for the past seven years. For several years
she taught English as a Foreign Language at schools and universities
in Turkey, and spent years learning two foreign languages.
During this time she was the
resident university editor and writer assisting professors and
academic staff with their publishing endeavors.
Additionally, Bea was the
organizer and assistant editor for the Global Leadership Forums for
three consecutive years, which entailed 40 conference papers each
year from academics worldwide, mostly non-native English speakers.
The result was three published books on leadership. Bea has a
knack for understanding what messages are trying to be conveyed even
when the language is confused or disorganized.
8.
How do we
communicate throughout an editing or writing process?
This depends on the particular
task. For editing your book, we will mostly communicate via
email or phone, if preferred, as the document is edited.
For a writing project in which I
am the author, it may take several meetings and then by email
correspondence.
For research, communication could
be minimal after an initial meeting by email or phone about what
type of research is needed.
9.
Will Bea meet
deadlines and schedules?
Bea is committed to providing you
with high quality editing, writing and research and creating
remarkable solutions personalized for your needs. Part of that
commitment is to honor our agreed upon deadlines and schedules and
to respond in a timely and clear manner to all your questions about
the work. She abides by and believes in maintaining a high
professional code of ethics. For the code, click here.

What is an editor?
Is a copy editor the same thing?
Editor is the name given to a
person who is responsible for the content in a publication, such as
a newspaper editor who heads a department. There are many types of
editors with broad roles which encompass anything from developing a
project, researching the competition and overall review of the
document to ghostwriting, indexing or producing the final product.
A copy editor may also have an
expansive role and reviews written content for clarity, accuracy,
spelling, grammar, punctuation, organization and consistency, or may
specialize in an area, such as preparing style sheets, to produce a
final written product.
Bea works with individuals who
want editing assistance for their product. She always first
provides a critique of the material for what is needed to bring the
document to publication. The client then knows what work is
ahead. See Question Four for additional
information.
11.
What is a writer?
Is a copywriter the same thing?
You may think this is a silly
question, but it is not. Writer is a word used for many
purposes in different situations. Typically, we know Writer as
someone who writes as their profession, such as a journalist, an
author, or a playwright. Writer is also someone who writes for
pleasure.
A Copywriter produces
multi-purpose content and may work in a department or as a
freelancer. A ghostwriter could also be a copywriter/ writer who
composes written products for others but may not claim legal
ownership of the product. There are many other definitions as well.
Bea writes only non-fiction
content and specializes in working with individuals (authors,
educators, consultants, sole proprietors).
12.
Why should I trust
someone I have not met in person?
Today, many businesses work with
partners whom they have not met. You can seek references about
the quality of a person’s work and communicate via email. For
me, I am concerned that I keep my reputation as someone who delivers
high quality work on time, every time. My livelihood depends
on my trustworthiness.
13.
Are your fees
affordable?
Bea’s fees are based on the
services you need and the timeline for completion. Services
are priced according to the tasks requested. Remember, by
working with Bea, you don’t have to provide office space, monthly
salary, health benefits or any of the other associated costs of a
part-time or full-time employee. Bea will be here to serve you
during your project and then go away until you need her again.
14.
How can I contact
Bea for a consult?
You may contact her by email or
phone. For those in Turkey, you may also contact me via the
