There are many services you may need while visiting or living in Turkey. Likewise, there are businesses where you can get great service, good products and fine food. While I have lived in several areas in Istanbul for almost a decade, I have come across a few businesses which I am pleased to refer others to at every opportunity.

Fortunately, I have found many on the Anatolian (Asian) side of Istanbul where I live, and believe them to be worth a look should you need these particular services. Additionally, there are a few good books which can give you a clear view of what you will (or won't) find here in Turkey. These books are from a foreigners' viewpoint for the most part, but will give a peek at the many aspects of Turkey.
